| Summary: Treasure Island is an adventurous story about a great treasure hunt. The main character is Jim Hawkins, a young boy who lives with his mom and dad at an Inn owned by Jim's father. Sadly, Jim's father dies, but that is really the beginning of the adventure and the search for treasure. Jim is joined by many characters including Dr. Livesly, Squire Trelawney and Long John Silver while in search of the treasure. The story takes you from land to sea and back again and includes a battle scence. My Opinion: This book was not the type of book I like to read. There was too much blood during the fighting and the rest of the content did not hold my attention. Interestingly, I cannot remember much detail about the book. I know this book is considered a classic, but it really wasn't to my liking. Rating: 2 stars (out of 5) |
